......... Don't even ask me how long this took to draw. Like months. So this is Hysteria the Hydreigon! Probably one of my strongest Pokemon. Her behavior is similar to Velvet the Charizard. Psychotic and reckless. xD However, Hysteria can be terribly frightening and sometimes more destructive than a raging Gyarados, given two extra heads to cause triple the damage. Naturally, Hydreigon have acceptional high attack as well as special attack. Hysteria however does have a well built body, but acceeds tremendously in special attack. Since the day she was hatched, she went through a special training of only heightening her special attack. Since then, she became more aware of her power. And only losing very few battles, she became over confident and rather ferocious towards other people and Pokemon. Because of her behavior, she's grown lonely and even more distant. But under her tough shell is a little Dieno still yerning to be babied, hence the loving childhood she never had. Rather than growing up playing and having fun, she went through vigorous training that ultimately shaped her selfish and terrifying personality. So yeah say hi to the first 5th generation Pokemon I've drawn!!
Lets see.. This is my first cross hatching piece I've done. Yep, it's all been completely cross hatched. I might try the other methods like hatching, rendering, scumbling and stippling on different Pokemon.
About the title. xD I was listening to Coheed and Cambria and the song kinda brought out Hysteria's soft side... It was sweet. :3 So listen to it when looking at this!
But of course! No need to thank, I mean this is a really astounding piece. It has almost a grim-fairytale-like twist to it, with the exaggerated smirk on Hydreigon's face and the subtle-but-ominous background. Suits the Pokemon's dark typing very well!
You should consider doing more crosshatching pieces sometime in the future.
When I get a computer I'll be ALLLLLLL over the place! I'll be drawing till my hand falls off!... That happens a lot actually, haha. But thank you, I really appreciate your input and suggestion!
